AI agents for dental clinics · Sweden

Patients already find you.
Then you lose them.

Where the enquiries go

The demand is already there. It gets lost on the way in.

A clinic that has been around for years has earned its patients — reviews, time in the profession, people passing your name on. The questions and the calls arrive on their own. The only question is what meets them when they do.

After 5pm

Half the day, nobody answers

Acute toothache, a crown that came off and a broken tooth turn up in the evening. You’re closed. Whoever finds you at 9:47pm has nobody to talk to — and looks elsewhere tomorrow.

Line busy

The phone rings in the middle of a patient

Reception is already helping someone at the desk. The call goes through to voicemail, and most people leave no message. You never find out what it was about.

Three questions left

Almost ready — but not quite

The visitor wants to know the price, the wait and whether you even do that kind of treatment. With no answer right away, they move to the next clinic on the list — the one that answers.

None of those three is a marketing problem. You don’t need more visitors — you need to stop losing the ones you already have.

The AI chat agent

This is what it sounds like when the agent answers.

An evening at a private dental clinic. Deliberately sloppy — that’s how people type when they’re on the sofa with a sore tooth. Every answer comes from information the clinic itself approved, and the last question shows where the line sits.

A transcript of a real flow — not a live chat.

roughly what does an implant cost, ive lost a tooth

An implant including the crown runs 18,000–28,000 SEK per tooth here. Where you land depends on the bone and whether anything has to be done first — that price is set at the examination, which costs 895 SEK.

The figures come from the clinic’s own price list. The typos change nothing.

ok are you open now? a molar is killing me, cant really sleep

The clinic is closed right now, but I’ll take your details and pass them straight on so reception can call you the moment they open. What’s your name, and what number can we reach you on?

Nobody is at the keyboard. The patient is captured anyway — instead of messaging the next clinic.

Anders. 070-123 45 67

Thanks Anders. I’ve passed it on as urgent: severe pain in a molar since this evening, reachable on 070-123 45 67. You’ll be called as soon as reception opens. Anything else you want me to add?

Name, number and case flagged urgent and sent on before the visitor had closed the tab.

should i take a painkiller in the meantime or

That’s not something I’m allowed to answer — medication and treatment have to be judged by the clinic’s staff. I’ve added the question to your case so they can take it the moment they call. If the pain is severe or you have a fever, call 1177 tonight.

This is where the line sits. It never gives clinical advice, it says why, and it refers on instead of guessing.

Answers around the clock

Evenings, weekends, public holidays. The question gets answered when it’s asked, not on the next working day.

Uses your approved information

Price list, treatments, opening hours and terms come from material you supplied and signed off. Nothing else.

Never gives clinical advice

It makes no diagnosis, recommends no treatment and says nothing about medication. That is always handed to your staff.

Handles how people really type

Typos, missing spaces, two questions in one message. It still lands on the right answer — and switches language with the visitor.

Captures the enquiry

Name, phone number and case are collected and passed to reception. An anonymous visitor becomes a concrete enquiry.

Knows when it lacks information

If the answer isn’t there it says so outright, adds the question to the case and hands over to a human. It never guesses.

Change a price or an opening hour and we update the material, so the answer follows. You never have to go into the agent yourselves.

The AI phone agent

The phone rings. Nobody can pick up. The patient calls the next clinic.

A missed call leaves almost no trace. You can see that the phone rang — not who it was, what it was about, or what the treatment would have been worth. The phone agent answers instead of the voicemail, finds out what the patient needs and passes the case to reception.

The AI agent

Hello, you’ve reached the clinic. Reception is closed for the day, but I can take your details and pass them on. What’s it about?

The caller

Hi, I’d like to know what an implant costs. I’ve lost a tooth in the upper jaw.

The AI agent

An implant including the crown runs 18,000–28,000 SEK per tooth, and the exact price is set at the examination, which costs 895 SEK. Would you like reception to get in touch and book that?

The caller

Yes please. Sometime next week ideally.

The AI agent

I’ll note that down. What’s your name, and what number can we reach you on?

The caller

Marie Lund, 070-987 65 43.

The AI agent

Thank you, Marie. So I have: implant consultation, one tooth in the upper jaw, preferred time next week, 070-987 65 43. I’ll pass that on now and reception will be in touch tomorrow morning. Is that right?

The caller

That’s right. Thanks!

This is what reaches you afterwards

The summary goes wherever you want it — email, SMS or your own system. The agent books nothing itself: reception takes the next step.

What it does

  • Answers incoming calls and speaks naturally in Swedish
  • Never gives clinical advice or judgements — it takes the case and hands it to you instead
  • Answers common questions you approved in advance, such as prices and opening hours
  • Asks what the patient needs help with
  • Collects the name and phone number
  • Summarises the case and reads it back
  • Prioritises the call by your own rules — acute pain first
  • Passes the information on right after the call
  • Hands over to a human when the situation calls for it

What it does not do

  • It does not book slots in your booking system
  • It does not touch records, and does not take in record data
  • It says nothing about medication, diagnoses or treatment choices
  • It never guesses a price or a term that hasn’t been approved
  • It does not pretend to be a human if someone asks

How it works

Five steps — and you see everything before a patient does.

No part of the work happens behind a closed door. You approve both the information the agent is built on and the way it answers.

  1. A 15-minute review

We go through how you handle incoming questions, web traffic and phone calls today — and where they actually get lost.

  2. We map the information

Treatments, price list, opening hours, common questions and your rules for urgent cases are collected. The agent is built on what you approved, nothing else.

  3. We build and test

You test the agent yourselves before it meets a patient. If something sounds wrong, we fix it before launch.

  4. The agent goes live

It’s installed in the right channel — on the site or on the number — and incoming enquiries are routed on by the flow we agreed.

  5. Follow-up

We watch how the agent is actually used, go through the conversations and fix the problems that turn up.

Are we a fit

We’d rather say no than sell you the wrong thing.

It saves us both a call. Read the two columns and decide for yourselves — get in touch if the left one is you.

This is you

  • You already get visitors, questions or phone calls
  • The same questions come back over and over — price, waiting time, what’s included
  • Calls or enquiries sometimes get dropped, and you know it
  • Reception spends time on questions that don’t need a dentist
  • A single extra treatment is worth considerably more than this costs
  • You want to improve how incoming patients are looked after

This is not you

  • You have almost no demand yet — we look after the demand you have, we don’t create it
  • You expect an AI agent by itself to bring in hundreds of new patients
  • You want the agent to handle record data or discuss ongoing treatment
  • You want the agent to answer even when the information is missing
  • You are looking for the cheapest chatbot on the market
  • You have no fixed price list or treatment information to build on

If the right column fits better, that’s not an insult — it just means you’d be paying us for the wrong thing.

Work samples

What we’ve built.

Scalient is new and does not yet have a long list of delivered client engagements. That is why you get a fixed price up front, an agent you test yourselves before a single patient meets it, and a written list of what it cannot do. The risk sits with us until you have seen it work.

Chat agent · built & tested

The chat agent on this page

Built against a dental clinic’s own material: answers from the price list, tolerates typos, switches language mid-conversation, refuses to give clinical advice, and captures the case with a name and number. It’s the one you see in the example above.

Who you’re talking to

The same person answers, builds and stands behind the result.

Scalient is run by Khalid Abdulle Jame. There is no sales department, no project manager and nobody who hands your build to someone else once the contract is signed. You have the same contact the whole way through.

The work is done remotely and the clinic does not have to be in any particular city. What is needed is your own information: treatments, price list, opening hours and your rules for how urgent cases should be handled.

We would rather say "we don’t know" than guess. That goes for us, and it is the same rule we build into the agents — especially when the question is a medical one.

Frequently asked

The things you’d otherwise have to ask on the call.

What the system can do and — just as important — what it cannot. If the answer is here, you don’t need a meeting to get it.

Can the AI make up answers?

That is the most important guardrail in the whole build. The agent only answers from the information you approved. If the answer isn’t there it says it doesn’t know, adds the question to the case and passes it on to you. It never guesses a price, and it never googles up a competitor’s answer. No AI can be guaranteed one hundred percent error-free — which is why we limit what it is allowed to answer about, and why you review the answers before it goes live.

Can it advise the patient on treatment or medication?

No, and that is a hard guardrail, not a setting. The agent makes no diagnosis, recommends no treatment and says nothing about medication. If someone asks, it says that has to be judged by the clinic’s staff, adds the question to the case and refers on — for acute pain, by the rules you set yourselves. That is the whole point of building for care rather than dropping in a general chatbot.

Where does the information come from?

From you. Treatments, price list, opening hours, common questions, terms, and your own rules for how different cases should be handled. We don’t write in anything you haven’t approved, and we don’t change your prices. When something changes at your end we update the material so the answers follow.

What happens to personal data?

Name, phone number and case are sent to you and stored for thirty days, then deleted. You decide where they land — email, SMS or your own system. You are the data controller, we are the processor, and we sign a data processing agreement before anything goes live. The agent is not built for patient record data and must not be used for it. Calls are only recorded if you want that, and the caller is told when they are. The full handling is set out in our privacy policy.

Can it answer around the clock?

Yes. Both the chat agent and the phone agent run evenings, weekends and public holidays. That is the half of the day where most enquiries otherwise disappear entirely.

Can it take contact details?

Yes, and that is the whole point. An agent that only answers questions is worth less than one that turns an anonymous visitor or a call into a concrete enquiry. It asks for the name, the phone number and what the case is about, reads it back and passes it to reception.

Can it book appointments?

No, not by default, and we don’t promise it. The agent takes the case and any preferred timing, and passes it on so reception books. Direct booking into a records or booking system is separate work that requires the system to be connectable — we only look into it if you ask, and only after we have seen what you run.

What happens if it doesn’t know the answer?

It says so outright, instead of sounding certain. The question travels with the case that is sent to you, so the patient gets a real answer from a human. In chat it can ask for contact details at the same time; on the phone it can transfer by your rules.

Can a human take over?

Yes. You decide in advance what gets handed over: certain topics, urgent cases, or simply the patient asking to speak to a person. On the phone the call is transferred by your rule; in chat the case is flagged and sent to you immediately.

How does the phone agent work in practice?

The agent gets a number, or is connected to your existing number by a rule you choose — after closing, say, or when nobody answers within a set number of rings. It answers, holds the conversation in Swedish, stays within the questions you approved, collects the name, number and case, summarises and passes it on. You can send every call to the agent first if you want, but most clinics start with evenings and overflow calls.

What is included in the monthly fee?

The monthly fee is mandatory for as long as you use the system — it is not an optional support plan. It covers operation, AI usage within the package limits, maintenance, support and minor ongoing updates. Scalient Chat is 1,990 SEK/month, Scalient Voice 2,990 SEK/month and Scalient Reception 3,990 SEK/month, excluding VAT.

What if we go past 500 call minutes in a month?

Scalient Voice and Scalient Reception include up to 500 call minutes per month. Additional phone usage is billed separately at an agreed per-minute cost. We don’t put a figure here until it has been agreed with you — and we don’t sell an "unlimited" that isn’t unlimited.

How long does the setup take?

The chat agent is normally live in 3–5 days from when we have your information. The phone agent takes 1–2 weeks, since the number and the call flow have to be set up and tested. The biggest variable is how quickly we get the material and your sign-off.

What happens before the agent goes live?

You test it yourselves. You write or call whatever you like and see exactly how it answers, with your own information underneath. If something sounds wrong we fix it before a patient can hear it. Nothing is published or connected to your number without your yes.

How do we pay?

The setup fee is invoiced half up front and half when the agent is delivered and approved by you. The monthly fee is invoiced on an ongoing basis from the moment the service goes live, and applies for as long as you use the system. Invoice, 15 days, prices excluding VAT.
